Bare Act is basically a dictionary of any section of a particular act. It is the exact text of a particular enactment, as it was passed by the legislature. There will be no case laws, or any other explanations to the sections, apart from what the parliament or the state legislature has made. It is short, concise and to the point version of a particular section of an act.

If you are a law student, then I would strongly urge you to make it a habit to keep it with you while studying or you can just download any good bare act app on the phone which I personally feel is the most convenient way. It is always a good practise to read the bare act first, then case law and commentaries whenever you are studying any legal topic.
